Carn Software

How it all began for Carn Software

Carn Software was formed by the current Managing Director in October 1994, principally to service the software needs of the church and charity sector.

We are now one of the principal providers of Gift Aid software and Hospice Lottery Software in the UK.  We also work with schools and parishes to assist in their accounts needs.

GiftWise from Carn Software

Gift Wise enables Diocese to manage the tax reclaimed from the Inland Revenue via the Gift Aid Scheme. This software is now industry standard in the Anglican and RC Church in the UK. Approximately, 75% of all the UK Catholic Gift Aid’s, amounting to the sum of 12 million pounds, are processed using our GiftWise software.

FundsMaster for School Fun Tracking & Reporting

In 1996, we were approached by a local authority to produce a software package for administration of school funds. The resulting software, FundsMaster proved very successful and is now in use in a large number of primary and secondary schools.

In addition, back in 1997 Carn Software was the first commercial company to offer viable pupil reporting alternatives for schools.

Parish Administration

In addition to Gift Wise there are numerous parishes up and down the UK using our ParishBase, ParishRegister and ParishPence packages to assist them in recording information about their parish.  This allows them to keep in touch with their community of parishioners with ease.

Carn Software continue to develop software which meets their clients needs and specification.
